Bauxite and alumina

Our Bauxite and Alumina (B&A) business unit has the industry's largest bauxite product capacity, reserves and resources.

We own, operate or have interests in six bauxite mines and deposits and 10 alumina refineries. Our wholly owned and joint venture bauxite mines are in Australia, Brazil, Ghana and Guinea.

Our wholly owned and joint venture alumina refineries are in Australia, Brazil, Canada and France. Expansions are underway at our Gove and Yarwun refineries. These expansions position us to become the world's largest producer of alumina.
